Following the demise of Tom, the newspaper editor and the owner of the Hildasay, the resident’s future is thrown into turmoil. Bill Shore (Peter Davison) quickly realises that he has history with Christine and with the collapse of his London business he struggles to rebuff her advances. Meanwhile Bill’s wife Lisa (Samantha Bond) has her own problems when Kate announces she is pregnant but refuses to name the father.
